Construction of the $28.5 million USD near-port Kingston Logistics Park, being developed by the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) for the Port Authority of Jamaica, is well underway, for completion in two
years. Designed and constructed as a world-class facility, it will provide an 18,000m2 warehouse that will dominate the 31,700m2 property. The indoor height will be over 10 metres, allowing six-rack stacking. Beside this structure will be a 1,550m2 building consisting of regulatory and monitoring departments, including law enforcement. Construction also includes a 1,500-metre road network.
