The USA’s Treasury Department declared on September 24, 2019 that it had identified and marked four vessels that transport oil

and other petroleum products from Venezuela to Cuba as ‘blocked property’ and imposed sanctions on the four companies that owned or controlled the ships for carrying Venezuelan oil for delivery to Cuban customers.

Three Panamanian firms were listed: Trocana World, Tovase Development Corp. and Bluelane Overseas. The fourth was Caroil Transport Marine of Cyprus. According to the Treasury Department, the removal of sanctions is available for persons who take action to depose or speak out against the current Venezuelan government. —
